Eat, drink, help fight breast cancer
A four-hour food and wine extravaganza Thursday – Cook for the Cure – will raise money to fight breast cancer.
From 4 to 8 p.m., the event will feature cooking demos from Tucson chefs, a wine tasting and entry into a drawing for KitchenAid appliances.
Cook for the Cure will take place in the showroom and kitchen at TWS Premium Appliance Center, 4229 E. Speedway.
The 21-and-older event will kick off the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Southern Arizona Cool Off With Komen campaign, a series of indoor events this summer.
Tucson Originals chefs offering cooking demonstrations will include Ramiro Scavo, owner of Pasco Kitchen and Lounge; Maria Mazon, owner of Boca; and Renee Kreager, owner of Renee’s Organic Oven.
The $10 cost will include one raffle ticket, wine tasting and food samples.
Additional raffle tickets are $5 each or three for $10.
